As an electrician, you install, test, connect, commission, maintain and modify electrical equipment, wiring and control systems.

You can specialise in lift mechanics, which involves electric and hydraulic lifts, escalators and moving walkways. Or you can specialise in air-conditioning and refrigeration mechanics, which involves all types of systems in industrial, commercial and residential settings.
